As we all know, our Presido dropped all the service chiefs as well as the Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General of State Security Service (SSS).................(ha ha im be like say this man job na to dey sack people turn turn ehh)
Anyways i just found this story very interesting cos the Presido appointed Major-General Onyeabo Azubike Ihejirika as the Chief of Army Staff. We all know the last time someone from the South occupied this position was like 44yrs ago during the time of Our late uncle Aguiyi-Ironsi, who was the Chief of Army Staff.
Ihejirika, a former General Officer Commanding 83, Division, Lagos, replaces Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazzau.Ihejirika is now in a position to become the first four-star General of Igbo extraction in the history of the Nigerian Army.
This is good news for our igbo people. I think its about time they begin to hold sensitive positions in the country jare. nothing do una
